No standalone AEO tool currently matches this, and it's a meaningful advantage over guessing which prompts to track.  
  2. However, keep in mind that this is not a clear differentiator when compared to other AEO tools. You can simply feed your proprietary data (i.e., ICP research, jobs-to-be-done, etc.) into any AI assistant, such as Claude, and you'll get a pretty good prompt suggestion you can later start tracking in any AI visibility software.

Great future potential - If HubSpot manages to connect AEO tracking data back to CRM attribution - tracking which AI-referred leads convert into revenue - that would create a product category nobody else can easily replicate. They have the sales data, and they have the customer base. I don't want to discount the possibility. The CRM-to-AEO attribution loop, if they build it, would be a strong reason to stay inside the HubSpot ecosystem.

HubSpot AEO Cons

Now this is where things get... interesting. After testing HubSpot AEO for a few days, and as someone who has probably played around with 50+ AI visibility tools, I can say that HubSpot AEO is not yet ready to be seriously used instead of other more prominent AEO tools in the market.

Below I'm going through some serious issues I found, but before we do that, let's just clarify one thing:

I think the foundation for a good AEO product is there - they just need to start surfacing more data, connect AEO to SEO & content creation processes (the way ContentMonk is doing), and preferably, see how they're going to leverage their proprietary sales intelligence data with AEO - I think that's going to be really interesting to see.

  2. 25 prompts per portal is too small a sample, with no easy option to get more - Drawing meaningful conclusions about your AI visibility from 25 prompts is like running a survey with 25 respondents - the sample size makes the data unreliable. Need more? You'll have to arrange a custom deal with HubSpot's sales team. There's no public pricing for those tiers, which means you won't know the cost until you're on a call.
  3. Single location per brand - Companies targeting customers across multiple countries can't segment their AI visibility data by region. This makes it unusable for brands with global reach, and also makes it a non-starter for content and SEO agencies managing multiple client brands.
  4. No aggregate citation view across runs - You can see which citations are associated with a prompt in a single response instance, but you can't see citation patterns at a multi-run aggregate level. That's where the real strategic data lives - understanding which URLs and domains consistently get cited, not which ones appeared in one answer.

No SEO tracking, no content creation, no content repurposing - HubSpot AEO doesn't track keyword rankings, doesn't help you create content, and doesn't offer repurposing tools (unlike some HubSpot AEO alternatives).
